StoryHunt Discover is a new initiative designed to make your tours easier to find and exposed to more travellers. Tours that are correctly indexed will be visible in the following places:
- On Google Things to do
- StoryHunt travel articles
- Inside our new web app, the concept for the Personal Tour Guide
In this article you can learn about the places where tours will be indexed and how you can make sure your tours are correctly indexed.
What is Google Things to do (TTD)?
TTD is Google’s program that connects travelers searching for attractions directly to relevant tours and experiences.
When someone searches for a place like The Round Tower, Nyhavn, or Tivoli Gardens on Google, they may see a section highlighting nearby experiences and ticket options. If your tour starts near, passes by, or is related to one of these places, it can appear there with a direct link to your booking page. Your tour may also be featured in Google Things to do, on Google Maps, or in category searches such as “walking tours in Copenhagen,” giving travelers several ways to find and book your experience.
This means your tours and stories can appear directly in Google’s results and Maps listings – as long as they are indexed correctly.
We automatically index all stories and tours on StoryHunt using structured data that helps Google understand what each story or tour is about. But if something is missing or incorrect, visibility can drop. That’s why it’s important to check your indexing status inside StoryHunt Creator (see below).
Example: If your tour starts at the Round Tower and you’ve selected that as your main attraction, people searching “Round Tower” may see your tour among the recommended activities.
What are StoryHunt’s travel articles?
They are high-quality travel guides written to attract readers from search engines and guide them into StoryHunt.
We publish articles that answer the questions travelers actually search for, such as:
- What’s the story behind the Round Tower?
- Is Tivoli Gardens worth visiting?
- What can I do around Nyhavn?
These articles are SEO-optimized and already bringing thousands of travelers to StoryHunt every month — with traffic growing by 20% month over month. Each article links to the new web app, where readers can explore stories and tours nearby.
This steady flow of new visitors means your tours get discovered by people actively planning their trips.
We continuously create new articles and are always happy to include more destinations or attractions.
If you have tours connected to unique local stories or hidden gems, let us know — we’re happy to include them in upcoming articles to give them even more visibility.
What is the new StoryHunt web app?
It’s the first version of our new concept — the Personal Tour Guide.
The web app lets travelers explore individual stories and create their own tours. The app is already public and has received excellent feedback for its design and ease of use.
We’ve also seen strong early results from users who discover the app through our travel articles — both in time spent exploring and in conversions to guided tours.
Importantly, this new concept does not replace your existing guided tours. Instead, it complements them by increasing visibility. In time, we’ll merge the concept with the existing StoryHunt app to create one seamless experience — where travelers can explore stories, build their own tours, and easily discover yours.

What does this mean for you?
In short, you will reach more travelers across more channels.
Your tours can now appear:
- Directly in Google Search and Maps (via TTD)
- Inside high-traffic StoryHunt travel articles
- In the new web app used by travelers to plan and explore
For professional guides, that means more bookings. For DMOs, it means more people experiencing your destination’s stories. And for everyone, it means broader awareness of your work and higher visibility across the travel ecosystem.
How can you make sure your tours are indexed correctly?
All published stories and tours have been automatically indexed by our AI engine – but it’s important to check them as mistakes can occur.
Here’s how to ensure your tours get the best possible visibility:
- Open Creator and go to your individual stories within a tour.
- Check that each story is indexed correctly (you’ll see this inside the story pane).
- In your tour’s About section, select one main attraction.

Selecting a main attraction is necessary to index your tour – it connects your tour to that attraction so it surfaces in Google TTD, in our travel articles, and in the new Personal Tour Guide. When selecting the main attraction, we recommend that you use the first verified attraction on the tour or the main highlight.

Example: Choose “Amalienborg” if your tour starts there. When people search “Amalienborg” or read about it in on of our articles, your tour has a chance to appear as a related tour.Â
What can be indexed?
Stories and tours can be indexed only in relation to verified attractions. This helps both Google and StoryHunt connect your content to places that are relevant to travellers.
âś… Good examples:
- The Round Tower
- The Little Mermaid
- Tivoli Gardens
❌ Not indexable:
- Copenhagen city center
- The old town
- A general area like “Nørrebro” or “Downtown Bergen”
What’s next?
StoryHunt Discover is just the beginning of a broader effort to make your stories and tours visible everywhere travelers search.
To benefit fully:
- ‍Confirm indexing for individual stories in StoryHunt Creator
- Select a main attraction for each tour
- Publish your tour for the indexing to take effect
Together, these steps will help your tours appear across Google, StoryHunt articles, and our new web app – helping more travelers discover your stories than ever before.
