Come back to a time when butter, cheese, and bread were made from scratch in the farm kitchens. It was a time when life followed the change of seasons. Not as a choice, but as a necessity. The seasons were an eternal cycle where one continuously prepared for winter's limited access to food. Especially in late summer, the kitchen was busy. Here, there was pickling, salting, drying, and canning to have supplies for the lean times. For the refrigerator hadn't been invented. But there was a potato cellar. All year round, beer was brewed. Beer was needed. Every day. However, the good beer was especially brewed in spring and autumn. It was brought out for parties and feasts. But not when those from Inner Mission were around. They preached abstinence. And were gaining momentum. Hear the whole story. It starts on the Milky Way.
