Discover Valby on this audio walk - from film history and old village streets to industrial heritage and the power of local volunteer communities
Test your knowledge and quiz along the way – fun with groups!
Welcome to Valby, a district full of character and history. Here the past lives side by side with everyday life, and locals have left their mark on the area’s development over the years. In Valby, the old village streets, the legacy of industry and the magic of film come together, and you can still feel history as you walk around the neighbourhood.
Above all, Valby is about community. Here volunteers, associations and passionate locals stand together to preserve, to build and to celebrate. From campaigns to protect historic buildings to initiatives such as the Olsen Gang statue and the volunteer-run cinema Valby Kino, the district shows how commitment and togetherness can drive change.
On this audio walk we will explore some of the places and stories that together make Valby what it is: a neighbourhood with roots, determination and heart.
